Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) is a recovery-focused, rehabilitative, and integrated behavioral health program for youth & adults with severe mental illness and/or substance use disorders. The program is person-centered and uses client/family-directed service plans to describe the individualized services that will support the client in achieving their recovery goals.

The CCS program helps individuals live their best lives by providing support and services to address their unique needs related to mental health and substance use. As an integral part of the CCS team, the CCS therapist provides psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and supportive collateral services to participants in the CCS program. These services will take place in the office, in the community, and/or in clients’ homes. Efforts are made to match client needs with the CCS therapist’s areas of expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Provides individual and/or group psychotherapy, psychoeducation to clients
• Develops and effectively implements treatment plans in conjunction with the client, parents and/ or caregivers, county, and school personnel as appropriate
• Provide clinical assessment and document bio-psycho-social intake after initial session
• Prepare initial treatment plan and ongoing reviews in prescribed time frames
• Demonstrates client progress on treatment plan goals
• Supports clients/families in crisis resolution and de-escalation through developing appropriate crisis plan
• Develops effective therapeutic relationships with clients/families through face-to-face meetings and phone consultation
• Communicate both orally and in writing appropriately to the task and in accordance with agency, county, and Medicaid standards
• Assess and assist clients and recovery team in recommending appropriate services to address identified barriers to recovery
• Participate as a member of the recovery team by attending team meetings, developing rapport with individual and team, and providing clinical guidance as appropriate
• Participate in clinical collaboration, consultation, and supervision in accordance with DHS 36
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing family systems, mental health, parenting, and AODA barriers through individual, family, and group counseling.
• High level of mental health and/or substance abuse clinical knowledge and skills with the ability to clearly communicate these to others.
• Prior experience working with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
• Experience with Trauma-Informed Care and harm reduction approaches
• Excellent assessment skills
• High level of skill in organization, attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Ability to navigate and communicate effectively in potential emergency situations
• Ability to promote positive working relationships with others
• Ability to work well with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds and LGBTQ+ identities
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• State of Wisconsin Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Minimum of two years of experience providing services to adults &/or children/families with significant mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring needs
• Valid driver’s license and automobile with insurance
